How to Make Diet Shakes - Great Tasting Low Calorie Shakes

How to Make Diet Shakes - Great Tasting Low Calorie Shakes

ItemTitle

Diet shakes and smoothies are a great way to lose weight. eye how in this article.

Why Are Diet Shakes Great?

Diet shakes are great because they fill you up and they do not have too many fat in them. You can still gain weight with diet shakes if you drink too many of them.

But if you understand that you shouldn't exceed a maximum whole of fat per day then diet shakes are great as a complete meal, full of food and fill you up.

Buy A Good Blender

It goes without saying that you should spend in a good blender. You won't need the costly choice of an ice crusher because you can just use frozen fruit instead. Get in the habit of cleaning or at least rinsing it after you've used it otherwise it will get clogged and you will delay cleaning it and production any more shakes.

Use frozen Fruit

Shakes taste best when cold so it is best to use a lot of frozen fruit in your shakes. Either ice your own fruit beforehand or you can even buy big bags of already-frozen fruit for cheap from your supermarket.

To thicken your shakes, just use regular bananas.

Be meticulous Of Dairy

Some shakes will add milk but I'd be very wary of this. Milk has a lot of fat that you don't need. You could use skimmed milk but it is so thin that you might as well use water instead.

The best thing is to use a composition of juicy and non-juicy fruits like berries and bananas for example.

Add Seeds

The best shakes are those that you can roughly chew. And seeds are a great source of nutrition. My personal hint is to try and find some flaxseeds because these are very nutritious. When they are blended, they will burst and issue their nutrition.

Protein Shakes

You can also use protein powder and add water and juicy fruit if you wish but personally I prefer to just use fruit completely.

commercial Waste Disposal - several tool Types Used in the Process

ItemTitle

Waste disposal is foremost in any area together with residences and industries. Commercial waste disposal is rather more crucial than those employed in residences. It is foremost for a firm to arrange of waste properly to make sure that the trash does not harm other people. This is the surmise why some services and forms of equipment are listed to make the effort even easier.

A list of solid waste supervision services is often used in order to get rid of Commercial waste. These services are foremost in the process of collecting and disposing solid waste from companies. Several activities may often be coordinated in the middle of a municipality and a firm to make the rehabilitation services more effective. Dissimilar industries also make use of Commercial waste disposal equipment to make the workload easier. Here are Several types to take note of.

Industrial compactors

The more definite types of Commercial compactors consist of waste and garbage compactors as well as can crushers. These are used to process wastes from textiles, fibers, rubbers and other materials. The Commercial compactor does not verily arrange of the waste. It rather converts waste into a more beneficial material that may serve someone else purpose. The compacted material formed out of the process is often smaller and easier to handle. Compactors are beloved in retail stores, warehouses, manufacturing companies, curative centers, hotels, ships and restaurants.

Wastewater rehabilitation equipment

For industries with high volume of wastewater used during safe bet processes, wastewater rehabilitation equipment is highly foremost in Commercial waste disposal. Wastewater is often polluted with chemicals, toxins and other Commercial wastes. This is favored in industries like sewage rehabilitation plants and other facilities that use tanks, filters and screens. Wastewater rehabilitation equipment is bought depending on the needs of the firm and should pass certifications and standards set by the industry.

Industrial balers

This singular type of Commercial waste disposal equipment is more than just a tool for waste management. Just like Commercial compactors, it is also used for secondary processing of a safe bet material. It is likewise foremost in enhancing handling, storehouse and communication of a compacted material. The balers ordinarily have shears or can be wrapped or tied automatically. They can be vertical and horizontal where the former compresses dry waste like plastics and cardboards while the latter is more foremost in waste disposal for high-volume applications. Most industries that make use of Commercial balers for waste disposal are paper, envelope, aluminum can, plastic bottle, box and printer manufacturers.

The Ice Man - 1940

The Ice Man - 1940

The Ice Man Cometh

The Ice Man - 1940

Of procedure no one had galvanic refrigerators in the 1940's, at least not in our neighborhood. So we were solely dependent on the "Ralph Kramden" ice box. This gadget was unique and useful. A two compartment unit made out of wood. And, it was lined with steel painted white. The top compartment was commonly smaller and that held the food that needed refrigeration. The bottom section was larger and held the block of ice.

Ice Crusher

The Ice Man - 1940

The top didn't have any shelves as I remember so food was kind of stuffed in as best you could. The bottom could if needed be used to keep things cold as well as keep the ice. No Freezer Section. If you wanted ice for drinks you just grabbed the ice pick and chipped off some ice for your drink. Or, take a large chunk wrap it in a towel and beat it with a hammer on the kitchen table. The early ice crusher was born. Let me tell you how impressed I was just with ice cubes in water. When my parents finally upgraded to a different home my Mom one day set out a pitcher of water with ice cubes in it. No holiday, no extra occasion. I plan we were rich.

The Ice Man - 1940

The Ice Man - 1940

The whole execution depended on holding a regular contribute of ice in the ice box. The ice company provided a sign that could be hung in the front window of your house. It had four side with four different sizes of ice on each side. Our job as kids after we were told was to hang the ice sign in the window and to make sure the size needed was at the bottom. And you better not forget.

The ice man would come along in his delivery truck on some designated schedule. He would read the sign in the window. Cut a block of ice that matched the signs requirement. He had a leather sling and shoulder pad that he used to carry the cube up on his shoulder with. Our guy was lucky. We lived in a house and the ice box was in the kitchen on the first floor. Sometimes the Ice Man had to carry the block of ice up flights of stairs to citizen who lived in apartments. His tools were ice tongs and ice pick. And of procedure a strong back. Just think about this mans job. All day long up into the truck, cut a chunk of ice. Dismount load the block on your back and carry it to the Ice Box. And, ice tongs and ice picks, us kids were impressed.

You got automated delivery if the sign was in the window. The ice man just opened the front door with the cube of ice on his shoulder and hollered out "Ice Man". In he came found the ice box and put the new block of ice into it. Didn't matter what was going on in the family. He just let himself in the house. And, if I remember right he got paid cash on the spot.

Along his route as he was delivering he would sound the call "Ice Man", for those who needed ice but forgot to put up the sign. Or, the kids who forgot to do what their parents told them. If no one was colse to to corral him then you got no ice. And, problem was afoot. For you.

Now there were times when thing just didn't work out. We would run out of ice and the Ice Man wasn't due to deliver for some time. Here's where the advantages of having a child came in. Mom would say, "Get the wagon and go get some ice.". I don't know where the wagon ever came from but one became available. It was our job to go over to the Ice House and bring home a block of ice. For me that was a 10 block round trip. And, sometimes Mom would let you pick up a block of ice for a neighbor too.

Wagon in tow off you would go to get the ice. 8th and Dupont street on the corner across from Dela Donnes Store was the Ice House. It was a 8' X 10' wooden shed. Lined with steel and full of ice. It was a sub middle point for solitaire Ice And Coal. You just asked the attendant for two 15cent blocks of ice and he hacked them off for you and with his tongs loaded them on your wagon.

Now this Ice Man was too scary for us kids. He was an aged black man. Looking back probably not paid very much in a labor arduous job. He was bent over and had a contorted body and face. I don't remember whether he was friendly or not. I just wanted to get my ice and get out of there. When no one was buying ice he had a stool in front of the ice house he would sit on. To me he just looked menacing with those tongs and ice pick.

The trip home with ice in the summer time was a fun trip. commonly there was some change. And, I would take the change and put it on top of the ice and let it melt down into the block of ice. By the time I got home it could be some inches down into the ice. A perfect vertical column. How we got the ice cube into the house I don't remember. We probably had a set of ice tongs at home to carry the block of ice in with.

I never relished these jobs our parents put on us. But liking wasn't an option for our generation. We were the cheap labor and yet most of us grew up without going to jail. And we got an study that allowed us to preserve and raise our families. Chores were just like growing up - they just happened. The chores were there and we were predicted to help.

Love development Cocktails? If So an Ice Crusher Blender Will Be Your Best Friend

Love development Cocktails? If So an Ice Crusher Blender Will Be Your Best Friend

That's because crushing ice to make cocktails isn't necessarily an easy task, and without a blender dedicated to doing the job properly ice crushing becomes a chore. And you don't want to find yourself sitting in the kitchen crushing ice when all your friends are around.

However if you need a a blender to crush ice there's a few things you should think about before you buy. There are many blenders on the store which will struggle to crush ice properly, and you may well find that either they break, or they do not crush your ice to the consistency you wish, and in single leave large lumps of ice uncrushed.

So if you're buying an ice crusher blender you need to choose an appliance with a sufficiently excellent motor. Look for at least 500 watts if not more, a small motor may well burn out if you use it too often to crush ice.

You should also purchase a blender with a glass container rather than a plastic container as plastic containers, and in single some made of particularly thin plastic, can crack or even break.

And also reconsider the potential of the blades. Stainless steel blades are essential, and some ice crushing blenders even offer special blades dedicated for use on ice.

And here's a join of tips to make crushing your ice a minute easier, and to make your party go smoother.

Take your ice out of the freezer 5 or 10 minutes before you intend to crush it, it makes it a minute easier. And if you don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen making ready the ice for the cocktails while your guests are gift then do the work in the afternoon and place your crushed ice in the freezer, all ready to go.

That way you will be able to enjoy your party much more, but your guests will still love their cocktails. Remember, if you love manufacture cocktails, a good ice crusher blender is the most foremost appliance in your kitchen.

treatment of Blood Under a Fingernail

treatment of Blood Under a Fingernail

Everyone at some point in their life pinches or smashes their fingertip under or in the middle of something. It's just a part of life (ouch)!! If it were not for the fingernail, the injuries would probably heal within a few days like a tasteless bruise and have no chronic effect or pain. However, because the fingertips are highly vascular, minor trauma, such as a crushing injury or a blow to the fingertip will cause them to certainly bleed underneath the fingernail. Your skin, and the anatomy of the fingernail, plainly seals that area below the nail and does not allow the blood to drain. The blood therefore pools in the nail bed, causing an growth in pressure and intense throbbing pain. This is how the fingernail becomes darkened, and you can often certainly feel throbbing pain to your injury, with each heartbeat.

treatment of Blood Under a Fingernail

treatment of Blood Under a Fingernail

treatment of Blood Under a Fingernail

treatment of Blood Under a Fingernail

Treatment and Expectations: Immediate rehabilitation includes ice and elevation of the limb to minimize the swelling of the injury. Sounds easy you say? Well read on! The next part is not for the faint at heart.

If the pool of blood under the nail is painful and you can feel a throbbing sensation (your pulse), then relief can only be achieved by certainly releasing the pressure. This can be done by creating a hole in the top of the fingernail itself, and allowing the blood to drain. Now this may sound like the last thing you want to do to an already painful finger, but if you get in the car and drive to an Urgent Care center, this is exactly what they would do. The following section describes two basic ways to painlessly accomplish this, one by drilling a hole, and one by burning a hole. Neither way is any more painful than the other, and both are very easy to do.

One way to do it: The hole can be made with a jeweler's drill (a certainly small drill bit that you can twist by hand), or an 18 gauge syringe type needle. Clean the top of the nail off with alcohol and begin drilling the hole directly over the largest and darkest part of the blood pool. Use a quick twisting petition of the needle or drill with very wee pressure. You won't feel any supplementary pain because the nail has no nerves in it. When you get through the nail, blood will spurt out of the hole, often with surprising force, and relief will be instantaneous. You can also try to slowly squeeze out any remaining blood from the hole.

The fastest and best way to do it: The other recipe involves melting a hole right through the nail. Although it sounds horrifying, in my experience, it is easier, faster, less traumatic and more sterile since it cauterizes and kills bacteria with the heat. To begin, first straighten a small paperclip. Then retention it with a pair of glove or pliers, heat the paperclip in a flame until it gets red hot, and then poke a hole in the nail. You certainly should not have to push the paperclip, as it will melt through by itself. Apply just a wee pressure, right over the darkest spot, and continue until you feel a wee pop, or blood is released. You want to do this procedure speedily enough so that you won't have to reheat the paperclip again to discontinue the job. When you get through the nail, blood will spurt out of the hole, often with surprising force, and relief will be instantaneous. You can also try to slowly squeeze out any remaining blood from the hole.

Whichever recipe you choose, you don't want to go deeper than about 1/16 in. (2mm) below the nail. (Don't stress about this, just assessment it with your good judgment and get it over with!) After your done, soak in some Hydrogen Peroxide solution, repeat the soaks three times a day. This is to prevent a clot from forming and causing pressure to build up again. You might have to squeeze once or twice again, but usually, the first time does it.

When to seek professional curative attention:

-Signs and symptoms of infection. -You lose any movement or range of petition in the body part as a effect of the trauma. -The injury appears to be worse than a easy bloody fingernail. -When in doubt.

Tropical Fish Breeding For profit

Tropical Fish Breeding For profit

At some point in your life you have probably had a fish tank in your home. Kids all over the world start out with guppies and goldfish in round bowls on their dressers. For some people, this has lead to a fish breeding enterprise in the tropical fish market.

Even looking at the modern slew of children's movies that are based underwater, you can see how the popularity of tropical fish is increasing. Many tropical fish breeders have seen a rise in sales over the last two years alone. This has led the entire industry, from aquarium makers to salt providers, in increased sales and profits as well.

Raising tropical fish requires a diminutive know how and some specialized equipment. Typically, tropical fish will need more room than your mean guppy, so a large area for tank set up will be needed. Depending on how many species you would like to raise will rule the whole and size of the tanks you need to operate.

Also think the whole of offspring you are likely to get from each species. Some species can have hundreds of offspring at one time. A percentage of these offspring will probably have to be culled, or destroyed, because their ability will not be up to your standards for your tropical fish breeding business. The small and weak should be culled so as not to cause problems in the entire tank environment.

Breeding and raising fish to a marketable maturity will need time and patience. Do your homework on growth rates and reproductive rates of each species you plan to breed. You will also need to know the compatibility of different species if you plan to work with more than one in your breeding business.

Salts, water, and water testing tool are also a must and should be top of the line. Water ability will play not only a crucial role in the survival of your fish, but also in the success of your operation as a whole in your fish breeding. Tropical fish can be very delicate. Your instruction will save you time and again if you learn as much about each species that you are breeding as possible. For example, copper will kill just about any tropical fish, so you will need to know how to set up water conditions for your fish accordingly.

Basic supplies such as food and water conditioners can be purchased from local aquarium furnish stores. However, you may research the internet to see if you can buy in bulk to save money on the things you will use the most - salts, conditioners, nets and the like. You will also find there is a wealth of facts available on species, their natural conditions, captive raising of fish, and much more. You will need to educate yourself often to produce good ability and beautiful fish for flourishing breeding.

Once you have begun producing your fish, you will need to get them to your market. Transporting tropical fish takes skill and timing. If you are shipping fish, which is becoming more and more common, make sure that you are shipping them overnight, to an address that will have a man present to accept the holder at delivery. Always make sure that your customer acknowledges this shipping arrangement in strengthen and is aware of your returns and allowances policies.

Packaging your fish can be tricky as well. There are some methods of containers live fish for converyance that are effective and should ensure live delivery. Depending on the size and oxygen requirements of the species complex will depend on the type of containers you will need.

Most commonly, fish are double bagged, one bag tied at the occasion and turned upside down into someone else bag that is also then tied. This prevents corners from windup in on the fish and also provides extra piece of mind against leakage. Packing materials will need to be tight, but not crushing, to keep the bagged fish upright. A good suggestion to frequent buyers of your fish is to offer a reduction to them if they return your packing materials, as the extra padding and such can get expensive.

Tropical fish can be startlingly beautiful and pleasurable to watch. It is no wonder that tropical fish breeding is both profitable and rewarding. Preparing well for this tropical fish breeding enterprise will help you succeed. If you educate yourself at every turn on breeding, water conditions, raising and culling your fish, you are sure to make a great splash on the tropical fish industry.

Using Deliberate Disturbance to heighten execution in Consulting Firms

Using Deliberate Disturbance to heighten execution in Consulting Firms

We often use the term "when the dust settles", but for the dust to settle, first we have tot kick it up. And the same applies to businesses too. After the dust settles citizen seem to see great and see things they didn't see before. But then why are consulting firms so allergic to changes? Why are they so chronically entrenched in their ways of doing things, that they keep doing it even if it obviously doesn't work?

One of the reasons is that consulting firms in general are very risk allergic, and living a minor pain is a lot great than going through temporary major pain to eliminate the minor pain once and for all. The question is that if we're not willing to disturb our own comfort, sooner or later the market will disturb us so much that we may not be able to recover.

But it's also obvious that only external powers can cause serious disturbance. This is just plain physics. If I roll a ball, the ball keeps rolling in one direction. And in an ideal, resistance and gravitation-free world that ball rolls forever in the same direction. The ball cannot convert its own speed or direction. Only an external force. That's called perturbation. The external force disturbs the ball, and changes its speed or direction.

One great example of perturbation is Japan after the Second Word War. The war seriously perturbed Japan, but then the country emerged as an industrial superpower.

But let's see...

Where This Perturbation Thing Originates From Russian-born Belgian scientist, Ilja Prigogine discovered that nature didn't work in predictable ways. There are all the time some unknown factors. When you melt and ice cube, you can never restore the resulting water into ice cube again.

Prigogine also discovered that when a ideas is perturbed, although it goes into chaos first but then it reorders at a higher level of complexity and sophistication. Then in 1977, Prigonine received a Nobel Prize in chemistry for his discovery.

So, now let's see...

So, How To Use Perturbation In Consulting Firms? Many consulting firms fall into the trap of their own "methodologies" and "approaches" they use with their clients, and "the way we do things colse to here" in their own operations. Over the years they come to be more and more protective of these approaches, and firmly believe that no revising is possible.

And this allergy to disturbance keeps them at status quo level.

So, how to avid stagnation? How to perturb the firm?

Consulting firms in general are paramount for lack of accountability. Partners are regularly above the law, so no one can touch them. Associates are quietly doing their clients work in the background. Only citizen who are involved in client acquisition are accountable... But only for landing new business.

Sa far as the firm's values and ethics are concerned, there is no serious accountability.

One form of perturbation is to build "consequences" for breaking commitments.

I love using the local temporary labour agency. Depending on their sins, citizen of any position are "sentenced" to a obvious whole of days of building labour for minimum wage. This is unpaid leave from the firm, and citizen have to prove with pay stubs that they spent the given whole of days doing labour work not merely sitting at home.

Personally, I don't believe in firing citizen but do believe in penalising citizen who break their words and let their colleagues down. If they do it repeatedly, they must go.

This penalty ideas causes huge disturbance in people. Can you fantasize a expert with an Mba and being asked to do building labour for 3-4 months? Yes, it's pretty unpleasant, but the firm must not tolerate behaviours that violate the firm's code of ethics. Otherwise the code of ethics is nothing more than one page on the firm's website. Mere window dressing.

So, now let's look at the...

...Stages of Perturbation Let's look at what happens inside a firm when we deliberately apply chaos or perturbation to it, and how it influences firm-wide performance.

Pre-chaos status quo stage: Everything is fine and stable. citizen do what they've all the time done, and execution is steady... At the general mediocre level.

Perturbation Stage: Something whether deliberate or unexpected happens that turns the firm upside down. What can be this disturbance? For instance...

A major rainmaker leaves the firm or kicks the bucket
Due to consistent and productive non-marketing, the mom of all famines hits the firm
A customary client sues the firm
A fire takes out the office and all the hard copy documents are in ashes.
Post-chaos improved stage: After the preliminary chaos, citizen pull together in an unprecedented manner, and start-rebuilding the firm on some new foundations.

For instance, if you're a rainmaker and spend most of your time driving colse to and meeting and dining prospects. Nice. It's also very very high-priced but the rainmaker doesn't care because the firm pays for it. Then you go to a new firm, where there is no visiting and meeting prospects. You have to operate a client acquisition system. It requires a totally separate approach.

inherent Problems With Perturbation Some citizen use perturbation in an abusive manner. One of the some forms of that is organising contests between rainmakers who can bring in more business, and threatening them that at the end of each month the lowest performer is fired. Retarded though it may sound, many firms practise it to spur wage generation. But this is not sustained revenue. Just a flash in the pan. This is a form of covert perturbation when you quietly set your citizen against each other. It may work for a while but finally it crashes and dies.

There is another kind of perturbation that seems to be abusive on the surface, but it has good intentions. It's the military.

Yes, drill sergeants yell, and make citizen do push-ups in elbow-deep mud. But when push comes to shove, every soldier knows that those "nasty" drill sergeants are nothing else but preparing them to stay alive in real situations. The soldiers also know that those nasty drill sergeants are willing to kill to protect their soldiers because for them the whole one issue is the security and welfare of their soldiers.

Benefits of Perturbation So, now we know we have to buildings the firm somewhere between flexibility and stability. Excess flexibility leads to more disorder, while excess stability leads to rigidity.

The Edge of Chaos is what scientists call the zone where innovation originates from as a consequent of interaction between some people. And the Edge of Chaos is a rather unbalanced environment. Only this lack off equilibrium and lack of optimisation can sustain an environment where new ideas can be developed. But to loosen up on structure, you need citizen with strong self-discipline with whom you can collaborate without the need for policing them and introducing rigid structures.

So, the key question from management's perspective becomes...

"How miniature buildings do we need to speak steady and balanced growth?""Do we have adequate discipline built into our culture that allows us to loosen the rein on our people?""Do we nothing else but trust our citizen adequate that they won't abuse the lax structure?"

How I Gained 32 Lbs of Lean Muscle in 32 Weeks After Failing for 7 Years

How I Gained 32 Lbs of Lean Muscle in 32 Weeks After Failing for 7 Years

Things like speed, power, durability and quickness are important attributes to have when you're an athlete, pretty much no matter what sport you are contentious in. But in the world of high school, college, and the work force, having a body that you're proud of is king...

I started lifting weights when I was 16 with two traditional goals in mind: one - to become a great athlete, and two - to build muscle and gain some lean weight.

I knew I needed to add some muscle to my skinny frame for sports, but when it came to my communal life I absolutely needed to add some size, and fast. Being a skinny guy surrounded by friends who all had 20 + pounds of muscle on me didn't make me the most definite guy in the group. I was the last to take off my shirt at the beach that's for sure. I mean, deep down I was a definite kid because of how I was raised, but when it came to girls I all the time belief they were looking past me to the guy with broad shoulders and a six pack standing behind me.

I wanted muscle, but I also wanted to become an athlete and there weren't any programs nearby that gave me both.

So, when I was 16 I started working out. All things I did I found in the bodybuilding magazines. I was doing the same workouts as the bodybuilders, the guys who already had all the muscle they needed, and a lot of them took steroids. I didn't have any muscle, and I wasn't about to take drugs either, so needless to say the workouts didn't work.

Why exactly didn't they work?

• There were just too many reps isolating muscles that I hadn't even began to found yet. I was burning too many calories having basketball practice 6 times a week, and workouts that lasted an hour and a half were just too much.

• I needed to be spending more time on developing the big muscle groups and building my strength. Lifting for high reps and isolating the smaller muscle groups was more or less a waste of time.

• Time was also a factor. I was spending far too much of it in the gym. If you're taking drugs, yah you can workout 5 or 6 times a week because they'll help your body recover. But if you're not, and especially if you're just a beginner, you need ample amounts of time to recover. Lifting 5 times a week was too much, I needed more time to recover, and because I wasn't getting it, I had a hard time adding the lean muscle.

• Due to the distance of the workouts, coupled with my basketball season, there was no way I could eat sufficient to add weight. I needed shorter, more intense training sessions.

What Bodybuilding didn't give me

Bodybuilding is great if all you want to do is build muscle, but if you want more than just muscle, if you want athleticism, power, speed And muscle, you're going to have to focus on more than just bodybuilding.

The "Unsuccessful Years"

Being an athlete in college was great, but being skinny sucked! It's not that I couldn't get a date, but I just felt like the "second choice" to most girls. I had some pretty jacked guys on my team who looked like men while I looked like a 15 year old boy, even when I was 20 and 21 years old. I was still killing myself in the weight room, my strength was up, my power was up, but my weight wasn't going anywhere.
I began to focus more on performance while college when I was in the weight room. As a result I began lifting more, and jumping higher. I was more qualified and faster, but I was the same weight. I fell in love with this kind of training but like bodybuilding, it didn't give me the All things that I was looking for.

Power Lifting is great but...

I began focusing on Olympic lifts, plyometrics and powerlifting which began to yield results in strength and power, I even gained a little bit of weight but I was 'good looking weight.' I was still playing basketball, not getting sufficient rest or spicy sufficient calories to precisely add size, but just focusing powerlifting didn't give me the convert in my physique that I had been looking for, for so long.

A nagging knee injury that occurred throughout my first season ultimately spelled the end to basketball. After a knee injury forced me to take a break from basketball, I spent a year doing pretty much nothing. Bodybuilding once again became my focus but the huge whole of reps, body part splits and lack of power-focused lifting resulted in the same 'ol few pounds of fat gained, very little muscle gained. Overall, I felt like crap. I fast realized that I needed a challenge, I needed something to push me and I needed a formula that would give me the gains, but I didn't know of anything that in case, granted this, so instead I decided to take up boxing.

Fighting to Build My Ideal Body

I had all the time loved the sport and I figured it would be a lot easier on my knee than basketball was. There wasn't the jumping on a hard face like there was in basketball, not the same kind of stopping and starting either, so I figured I'd give it a go.

I had kind of given up on gaining muscle at this point, spending years working my butt off but yielding zero results does that to you, and adding size was precisely a negative when it came to the fight game because of the weight classes.

Instead of size, I now had to frame out how to pack as much muscle as I maybe could into my fighting weight, this also meant losing fat and getting my body fat % lower than ever at the same time! I hadn't even gained any lean muscle yet, how the hell am I going to build muscle and lose fat at the same time?!

My first few months of boxing went great, I fell in love with the sport and I loved fighting. I now had the challenge that I had been looking for, the end goal, something to measure my progress; however, the training we were doing out of the ring wasn't manufacture me look or feel like I belief it would.

It was pretty much all durability based training which didn't give me the power or the quickness I needed to be the best fighter I could be. Reps, reps, and more reps of bodyweight or at the most light weights is what we were doing, there weren't any explosive movements being added into our training at all. The more I trained like this, the weaker I felt and the weaker I looked.

When it came to a fight I felt weak and tired and I knew there had to be someone else way to both look good and become a stronger, faster, more explosive athlete. At this point I was fast and had power in spurts but I couldn't put it all together. I felt drained, worn down and exhausted and I knew I needed a change. But to be honest there wasn't a whole lot out there to help me.

Looks never fully left my mind either. I still wanted to build muscle and add lean mass to my skinny frame.

The missing piece of the puzzle

The problem...

I needed help. I think we can all agree with that statement. I had read All things I could find online, read the magazines, but I wasn't getting what I wanted.

I was definite in who I was, I was definite in the fact that I could deal with myself, but I wasn't definite with how I looked. I looked like a boy when my friends looked like men.

Feeling like girls were looking through me felt like crap and may have been something I cooked up in my own mind, but when I added the muscle, I absolutely got more looks. I'm not even that big of a guy. I'm not huge by any means, but I'm muscular and athletic, and have a build that got me noticed by girls, and finally got me noticed by the right girl.

The fix...

Knowing that I needed help was one thing, but precisely getting the right help was a totally separate ball game altogether. Nothing online seemed to help, nothing on Tv and I couldn't find the right literature to fix my problems, so I looked for a job.

There was a gym about 30 minutes from my house that focused primarily on training high level athletes. They had professional and semipro teams on their roster of clients, as well as 'weekend warriors' who wanted to get in great shape and become great athletes. I applied for the job as a instructor and got it. My first few days there I got to shadow the head instructor at the gym and the guy precisely knew his stuff. I watched him train a few pro football players who had similar 'obstacles' to mine: one of the things they needed to accomplish was to allege and even growth their explosiveness and power, but also allege their mass while the season. The things they were doing were pretty cool. Lean muscle and explosive power was the traditional focus, I know that I had to add durability into the mix as well.

I ended up talking with him for a bit at the end of the day and telling him about my multifaceted problem. Over the next month he gave me a lot of great training tips, separate theories, what not to do and what to do for each aspect of my training that I needed to improve.

Let the Testing Begin...

The Steps I Took that Lead me to Success

• I began lifting 3-4 times a week, depending on my split, which was so much great than the 5 or 6-day splits I had been previously been trying to pull off. I was allowing my body the time and rest it needed to properly recover in order to see the benefits of the training I had been putting my body under.

• I also began eating better, with more veggies, more lean proteins and more nutrients before and after my workouts. Before this, I wasn't giving my body the fuel it needed to build muscle. If your body has no fuel source - in the form of carbohydrates, fats or proteins - it will burn whatever's there, sometimes this means burning muscle muscle. Eating healthier also keeps you healthy, gives you more vigor and helps you recover.

• For the time being I also kept up my 'in the ring training,' but no longer took part with the team when they did the 'out of the ring' work. I was looking results by the second week, noticeable results. I was faster, strong, had more durability and absolutely had power. I also felt more muscular as well which is important in my mind.

My instructor wanted to know what I was doing differently that led to my success, I showed him and he was absolutely curious.

My next fight I won by decision, then the following one by Ko. Pretty soon after that my instructor put me in payment of the "out of the ring training" for our whole boxing team - for all the guys who were precisely fighting that is - and every person began looking similar improvements. I was training guys, myself included, for intense bursts within the 3 minutes of a round rather than just plain and steady work throughout.
I was feeling great with my boxing, but I now wanted to see how far I could take myself with these gains in the gym.

I had been able to add muscle into my fighting weight, but could I translate this into adding pure lean muscle and precisely start looking the numbers go up on my scale? I was still in the gym sparring and working with the other fighters, but my fighting took a backseat to the thing I had been trying to do since I was 16 - found my physique to be something that I was proud of.
And so I went to work... On myself.

How did I do?

Over the next 8 months I gained 32 lbs of lean muscle!

I changed my diet and added more calories but also ate 'clean' and had the right stuff at the right times. Along the way I made adjustments to my programs incorporating separate techniques, reps, sets, and times for each.

My results shocked me and absolutely shocked all of my friends, especially the ones who I didn't see while those 8 months. I was now over 180 lbs of lean muscle, I could deal with myself, I prolonged to enhance my athleticism because of the training I was doing, but I looked like a man, I no longer looked like a skinny little kid.

The muscle I gained was lean, I wasn't walking nearby with any 'muffin tops' or rolls nearby the mid-section and I could still compete in the ring, on the basketball court or on the ice great than I had when I was contentious in each.

I had found my "perfect workout", a routine that made me look better, feel better, and accomplish better!

Here's an example of what I was doing in the gym:

PlayStation Network's Welcome Back schedule Has Solid Choices

Anyone who hasn't been living under a rock has seen the newest hacker attacks in the news. Sony was hit hard on more than one opportunity knocking its PlayStation Network service offline for over a month. The hackers stole potentially sensitive data from thousands of Psn users in the process as well. What does this mean for the loyal gamers who refrained from trading in their Ps3 for Xbox 360s while this time? The Welcome Back Program. Sony answered this allegiance with a set of complementary downloads and memberships to various services such as its music service Qriocity and its excellent gaming service PlayStation Plus.

Ps3 owners can take 2 titles from the following list:

Ice Crusher

Dead Nation
InFamous
LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust Hd
Wipeout Hd + Fury

PlayStation Network's Welcome Back schedule Has Solid Choices

I personally have tested out Dead Nation, Infamous, LittleBigPlanet, and Super Stardust Hd, all of which are great options for free download.

Dead Nation
A birds-eye-view, dual-stick zombie shooter by Housemarque has a similar look and feel to the Dead Ops Arcade mini game in Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game is split-screen and online co-op compatible which is a great expanding since every Psn user will have an opportunity to download this game and friends will most likely collaborate for a group experience. Dead Nation allows for character upgrades, a multitude of levels, and numerous guns to tear straight through the hordes of unintelligent corpses.

Presentation: Nothing special aesthetically, successfully develops a spooky atmosphere. Unfortunately, proper characters and a typical zombie thriller plot detract from the allinclusive quality of the game.

Graphics: various environments are detailed and fun. At times too many zombies on screen can be difficult to see.

Sound: Blood splattering, gunshots, and hungry zombies, what more sound effects could you want? Sfx are what you would expect, performance packed moments bring about the best music this game has to offer.

Gameplay: Fighting crowds of zombies with a wide assortment of weapons is entertaining. Differentiation in zombie types is appreciated and controls are easy to pick up.

Gaming Precision gives Dead Nation a 7/10

Infamous
What a excellent time for Sony to publish Sucker Punch's open world, comic book inspired game then right as the sequel is released. For those who missed the first one, the Welcome Back program has your back. The quality to be celebrated or infamous, friend or foe, is a refreshing element often under explored in free roam games. Plus, a souped up, electric powered protagonist (Cole McGrath) adds to the kickass...ness of the game.

Presentation: Large environments to inspect at your leisure, beloved cut scenes and an fantastic finale. However, I felt as if the city as a whole often blended together and did not stand out. The plot followed a very predictable pattern.

Graphics: The graphics are solid not spectacular. The electricity looks fantastic and the karma effects on Cole's appearance are a nice touch.

Sound: Not very memorable. Cole's shoes squeak incessantly which bothered me throughout the whole game.

Gameplay: variety of skills and moves for Cole to perform. Tons of side missions and collectables add too long playtime. Sometimes too many enemies onscreen will make you feel overwhelmed and being shot permanently from the rooftops can be frustrating.

Gaming Precision gives Infamous an 8/10

LittleBigPlanet
By far one of the most creative games I've ever played. It gives players the perfect freedom to originate just about anything you could imagine. A large society adds to the determined feel of the game with new user-created content being added all the time, especially now that the Welcome Back program has brought new life into LittleBigPlanet.

Presentation: Adorable graphics add to the whimsical nature of this side-scrolling adventure. Sack boy is as customizable as the game itself allowing for a personal touch. Nothing of this nature or caliber has ever been done as successfully as LittleBigPlanet.

Graphics: Its graphics are unique, colorful, and very appealing. The visuals are very impressive.

Sound: One word, perfect. The game incorporates music into levels in roughly every way. Sound effects are proper and humorous. I've even heard some of my beloved video game themes on society levels.

Gameplay: variety defines this game in every way. The controls could be tweaked slightly as sometimes I felt as if Sack boy was controlling himself.

Gaming Precision gives LittleBigPlanet a 9.5/10

Super Stardust Hd
Ever play the old arcade game Asteroids? Well this is its older brother on steroids. Super Stardust Hd is a quick paced, arcade shooter where you control a spaceship and blast just about anything that moves. It has a very exciting look which combines 2D functionality with 3D visuals but they function very well together. The game boasts numerous weapons together with the Gold Melter, Ice Spitter, and Rock Crusher all which can be swapped with the press of a button. And the co-op capabilities make for one crazy fun ride.

Presentation: The game is pretty simple. Your goal is to destroy rocks, get points, and not get hit. There could also be more options available.

Graphics: The visuals are pretty stunning. The exciting colors and sheer number of stuff going on is impressive. Lasers and explosions of all separate shapes and sizes will fill the screen and overwhelm you...in a good way. Except for the occasional lag.

Sound: The music changes at each level but it's not overwhelmingly noticeable. The music fits the situation but is not memorable.

Gameplay: The gameplay is great. The manic shooting and addicting nature make this a game you will want to replay often.

Gaming Precision gives Super Stardust Hd an 8.5/10
